Job Description

Our Mother of Sorrows/St. Ignatius of Loyola, Independence Mission Schools, are seeking an After School CARES staff member.

Duties and Responsibilities

Our after school staff should possess:

  • Commitment, desire and interpersonal skills necessary to work with elementary age school children
  • Ability to interact effectively with parents / guardians
  • Ability to relate well in a multicultural classroom environment


Certification, Degrees, and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Associate’s Degree, or at least 60 college credits in an education-related field (preferred)
  • Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate (preferred)
  • Experience working in a school-setting (preferred)
  • Clearances on all required background checks (required)

Other Pertinent Information:

  • Salary: Per Hour $14.00
  • Part time (15-20 hours per week)
  • Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 2:45 – 6:00 P.M. – Wednesdays 2:00pm to 6:00pm or 11:30am to 6:00pm – depending on school schedule.
