Job Description
For January 2023, we are looking to fill an elementary teaching position. Interested candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and be able to prove that they are working towards their PA state certification. Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow PA Common Core Curriculum and create lessons to meet the needs of all students
- Prepare lesson materials, grade tests and projects, establish classroom behavior management systems, and evaluate student progress
- Exercise open and respectful communication with students, families, co-workers, administrators, and other school staff
- Measure progress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required
- Attend conferences and workshops in order to advance professional development
- Manage student behavior in accordance with school policies
- Provide a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all students in the classroom and in the school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Ability to build relationships effectively and professionally with families and students
- Proven ability to maintain a safe and studious classroom environment
